Damage does not always mean that your entire benchtop needs to be replaced.

Depending on its material and condition, we may be able to repair the damaged area, restore the surface or alter the existing benchtop to suit new fittings.

Chipped Edges and Corners

Chips often develop along exposed edges or around sinks and cooktops. We can rebuild the damaged area, shape it and carefully colour-match the repair.

Cracked Benchtops

Cracks may be caused by impact, heat, movement, weak points or poor support. We assess the likely cause before deciding whether a lasting repair is possible.

Dull or Worn Natural Stone

Marble, limestone and other natural stone can lose their finish through daily use and unsuitable cleaning products. Honing or polishing may restore a smoother, more even appearance.

Etch Marks

Acidic food, drinks and cleaners can leave pale or dull marks on marble and other acid-sensitive stone. Etching is surface damage, not a stain, and usually requires professional refinishing.

Stains and Discolouration

Oil, food, moisture and other substances can enter porous stone. Some stains can be reduced or removed using specialist treatments. Results depend on the type, age and depth of the stain.

Scratches and Surface Damage

Some scratches can be reduced by refinishing the surrounding surface. The right method depends on the material, colour, pattern and finish.

Open or Damaged Joins

Benchtop joins may open, chip or become uneven. We can assess the join, surrounding support and movement before recommending a repair.

Benchtop Alterations

Replacing a sink, tap or cooktop may require an existing opening to be altered. We can assess suitable benchtops for cut-out enlargement or additional holes.

Not every treatment is suitable for every material. We identify the surface before selecting the repair or restoration method.

Natural Stone Benchtop Restoration

Natural stone can often be restored instead of replaced.

Marble, granite, limestone and travertine respond differently to wear, stains, scratches and cleaning products. Our technicians select a process suited to the stone and the finish you want.

Restoration may include:

We can restore polished, honed and other natural stone finishes where the material and condition allow.

Engineered Stone Benchtop Repairs

We repair chips, cracks, damaged edges, joins and localised damage in many engineered-stone benchtops.

Engineered stone cannot always be refinished in the same way as marble or other natural stone. We assess the material first and explain what can reasonably be achieved.

Our work focuses on the repair, restoration and alteration of existing benchtops. We do not manufacture complete engineered-stone benchtops.

4. We Complete the Work

The repair area is prepared, rebuilt or filled, colour-matched, shaped and finished using methods suited to the surface.

5. Final Inspection and Care Advice

We inspect the completed work and provide practical cleaning, care or sealing advice where required.
