Lippage is a condition where edges of the tiles, pavers are not at the same level with each other. The most common way to see how much lippage there is, is by gauging the thickness of a 20c NZ when placing it to the edge of the tile and if the next tile is higher than the coin this can be considered a lippage.

 The lippage removal process or flattening the stone is by grinding down the floor by utilising lippage removal discs. In some cases we are able to remove lippage by utilising light lippage removal system without grinding the entire floor. 

This procedure is also the first step in floor polishing.

Lippage removal can eliminate trip hazards, scratches, chips, dirty edges of tiles and make cleaning easier.
