The application of a penetrating sealer to exterior stonework, interior floors, walls, bench tops and vanities reduces the porosity and absorption of the stone to a level that allows a longer period of time to remove any spillage. There are many different types of penetrating sealers on the market, however they will differ mainly in how much protection they offer (measured in the time they will protect and the range of contaminates they will repel). The low cost products will measure protection in minutes against a small range of contaminants while the premium products will afford much greater protection (measured in hours) against a quite exhaustive range of contaminants.
We also specialise in the application of Topical "Surface" Sealers. These provide a protective barrier over natural stone. This means the sealer will take on the general wear damage associated with floors and entryways. Enhancing sealers are also a speciality, as shown in bottom left photograph.
